August Shows

As August begins, the days seem to hasten with the shortening daylight. There are several exhibitions this month, making it feel like I'm ending the summer on a high note.

Firstly my solo exhibition 'Coastal Impressions: Paintings of Southport, Fairfield, and Bridgeport' continues at Black Rock Books on 3030 Fairfield Ave in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Black Rock Books is open daily except Mondays and holidays from 11am to 5pm, so pop in - browse the great selection of books at this wonderful independent bookstore and view my artwork!

Secondly, also in Bridgeport I have work up at the City Lights Gallery in Bridgeport for the month of August as part of an art exchange with members of Art/Place Gallery showing work at City Lights to the end of the month. One of my triptych oil paintings of Fairfield Beach/Lantern Point is being displayed - each panel is 24 x 12.

Finally, I also have a couple of pieces in the 'Summer Daze' group show at Art/Place Gallery at 70 Sanford Street in Fairfield, CT. We had a well attended opening reception at the end of last month and the last day to see this great summer show is August 18th. Here's one of my pieces from this show of Cos Cob Park overlooking Cos Cob Harbor in Greenwich, CT. I always look out for this view on the Metro North whenever I travel into New York City.
