For the month of June I am exhibiting my latest solo show at Harborview Market. The show is aptly entitled 'Paintings of Black Rock and Beyond' and features many of my recent works that are inspired by my walks in and around the Black Rock area. It was somewhat serendipitous in both the timing and the subject matter that I chose for this show, given I hadn't realized ahead of time it would also coincide with Black Rock Day which will be celebrated tomorrow - Sunday Jun 12th!
So whether you are dusting off your sneakers to run the Rock', picked the short straw to pilot one of those Black Rock Bed-Race contraptions, or just watching the parade and performance, make sure you also drop into Harborview Market, get a coffee and one the best cookies in Connecticut and check out my artwork! A fun day out.
In my other art news - check out last month's 'Connecticut Cottages and Garden Magazine' (if you can still find a copy) to see one of my Cape Cod artworks that is currently hung in the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum over in Norwalk for the summer months. The exhibition has some lovely pieces from some highly talented painters in a group show called 'Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color'.
Further a-field I will have a couple of artworks appearing in Stamford, CT in two separate shows - one starts today at the Loft Gallery Association which I was invited to exhibit one of my paintings at a new show called 'Bring another friend or two to the LAA'. The gallery is open at weekends 1-4pm at 575 Pacific Street and will continue to the end of July.
Plus I will also be showing at the '22nd Annual Vivian & Stanley Reed Marine Show' which starts Jun 25th and ends Jul 28th at the Townhouse Gallery at the Stamford Arts Association at 39 Franklin Street in Stamford, CT. Hopefully you can drop in and see these works and/or make it to one of the gallery openings.
